The Wei ·
The Wei is shaped by the idea of Rong Alley — a small lane where everyday life quietly unfolds, unpretentious, warm, and full of movement.
Rooted in the flavours of Northwest China, our food comes from street stalls and home kitchens. A bowl of hot noodles, a slow-simmered pot, a simple homestyle dish — each shaped by time, heat, and experience.
We respect tradition without rigidly recreating it, allowing familiar flavours to evolve naturally and feel right for today. The kitchen is led by Chef Guirong Wei, born and raised in Northwest China, who believes truly good food should stand up to everyday life and be something people return to, again and again.
At The Wei, a meal is something to slow down for — like stepping into a lived-in lane, and sitting down to enjoy a proper, unhurried meal.
